The Good Day Out

A unique chance to go sheep trekking in the Brecon Beacons National Park! Good Day Out has teamed up with Aberhyddnant Farm to create a completely new concept, which is more native than Llama Trekking and more fun than your average walk in the hills. Each sheep is fitted with its own little halter, and you will choose your own sheep from a small flock of especially trained Jacobs. He will then lead you along a scenic trek on that takes you towards the Black Mountain with scenic views towards Pen y Fan. The undated vouchers make a great present!
Check out the lovely FYI:Brecon video from our inaugural trek https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMKlJkwfm4Y

The sheep treks will run from 1st April to 30th August (and also over the October school holidays if weather permits).
You can book selected dates below but others are available generally on Wednesdays 10am start, Saturdays 10am start and Sundays 2pm start,
except 8th to 26th April when it will just be Sundays with a 2pm start due to lambing. Please enquire if the date you prefer is not showing 01874 749092 or hello@gooddayout.co.uk , or if you have a small group as we may be able to arrange a bespoke date for you.

Need to Know

Please bring wellies or walking shoes. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Young children under 12 will share an adult's sheep, and children of 3 years old and under are free. The trek is uphill but on reasonable terrain. Please note that there are very friendly dogs on the farm which may accompany you. Your own dogs are sadly not welcome for this experience due to possible stress levels for the sheep. The experience is conducted with small groups so early booking is advisable. If you would like us to arrange a bespoke trek for your group please enquire.

I've got to be honest, I thought you guys were bonkers before I came here, but now I accept that you are making the best of the Brecons!

Sheep Trecking!!? I've just been on one and it was really lovely! Very tranquil and relaxing. Lovely group of people, a beautiful walk and a delicious picnic of tea and cake waiting for us half way, out on the hill. Enchanting! Thank you Good Day Out.

We had a great time much helped by the weather. The family were brilliant, kind helpful relaxed and investing. Great picnic tea with a choice of herbal as well as normal tea/coffee. Fab for me as I am not a coffee/tea girl. Most unexpected too, as I had taken my own drink. June 2015
Lovely afternoon on the hills above Crai in the company of Jacob Sheep, and our hosts Paul, Liz & Nicola Matthews - thank you everyone!
